WHAT MADE THE REST MATERIAL IN THE FATIGUE CRACK IN BRACING D6 ON "KIELLAND" BURST AT 18.30 HRS ON MARCH 27TH 1980 - TERRORISM?
- Overloading by sea, weather, forces only?
- Ship collission as suggested by the French?
- Overloading by load distribution due to explossion in the adjacent bracing
D4?
ref; Falk1.3.htm, Technical Presentation
Normally it was few people left on the platform at 18.30hrs
due to daily crew change activities, flying people of and on between 18.00
and 19.00 hrs. On March 27th 1980 the fog restricted helicopter activity.
...................................................
On July 16th this year Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) presented a program
about "Why buildings fall down" where the fatigue crack on "Kielland"
was used as an example.
The truth is, however, still to be public knowledge. FALK International's inquiry about the producer have so far ended up with Channel 4 and the following request.
Status of mail to Channel 4; NRK, BBC and Discovery Channel of September 21st 2001, waiting for action !!!!!

You are the responsible Publishers disinforming the
Public. Darlow Smithson Production is as far as I understand the Producer.
You as Publishers are responsible to correct the viewers understanding
of this matter.
A follow up to the program sequence on "Kielland" telling the
complete story would be appropriate.
Feel free to contact me for assistance.

ORIGINAL REQUEST
Urgent to Channel 4:
I am reminding you of my inquiry og September 6th, inserted below,
to which I have not received any respons.
In this respect I refer to my inquiry to BBC Information by e-mail mid
July this year, leading up to contacting yourselves:
I am writing to you in my capacity as President of FALK
International.
Earlier this week (week 29th) I watched the program "Why Buildings
Fall Down (Crack)" on Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK), part 3. By contact
with NRK I am informed that BBC is responsible for the program.
I am astonished that BBC still distributes incomplete informatiom misleading
the public about the cause of the capsizing of the "Alexander L. Kielland"
offshore accomodation platform which took place on the Ekofisk on March
27, 1980, and where 123 people perished, among them 27 UK citizens and
2 US citizens. I would have expected BBC as one of the worlds leading documentary
TV channels to do more thorough research before going on the air.
Public information about the sabotage assault on "Kielland" has
been available since late 1983/early 1984. I have in person presented the
matter for british Police authorities as well as representatives for british
press during the 1980's.
It's not a question whether or not there was a fatigue crack in bracing
D6 on Kielland, but why did the rest material burst on March 27th 1980
at 18.30 hrs. Was this due to the weather conditions only? - or caused
by redistribution of loading due to failure of the adjacent bracing D4?
Technical evidence proves that the failure of bracing D4 was caused by
an explosion inside the bracing by act of man. In addition to load redistribution
the explosion created a wave tearing the D-leg apart from the rest of the
platform.
Further information is available on FALK International webpages http://www.multinet.no/~falk/
ref section 3 "Technical Documentation" and section 7 "The
Sabotage"
In 1992 I published in writing a Documentary "The Sabotage on Kielland"
in Norway.
You may also contact Scotland Yard for information.
FALK International urges Norwegian authorities to resume investigation
of the assault on "Kielland" in cooperation with Scotland Yard
and FBI.
Misleading the Public is a serious matter, and a matter of trust. BBC should
feel responsible to regain trust by presenting a follow up to the program
about "Kielland" telling the true story.
I expect to without undue delay to hear back from someone with responsibility
within BBC.
Regards Ole Ostlund President FALK International

PREVIOUS MAILS
Urgent to Channel 4, As President of FALK International I would like to
get in contact with the Producer, or responsible Purchaser - Channel 4
? - for the program referred to below. The programs dealing with the Alexander
L. Kielland disater on March 27 1980 is incomplete and as such spreading
misinformation concerning the cause of the disaster where 123 people perished,
among them 27 UK and 2 US citizens.
The real cause, sabotage by explosion in bracing D4, adjacent to bracing
D6 with the fatigue crack, has been covered up. Channel 4 should not let
themself be used in the cover up operation misleading the public.
